RE|Build with Marion Spencer and Collaborators is an evening in two halves,
one a group work and the other a solo by Marion Spencer. Curated by John
Robinson and Melissa Riker.
marion spencer: 'part two' is an
emerging/ongoing interdisciplinary dance project including collaborating
artists Ogemdi Ude, Symara Johnson, Kimiko Tanabe, Tara Sheena, s. lumbert
and slowdanger. Taking lessons from abolitionist practice, liminal space,
transformation, and Donna Haraway’s 'A Cyborg Manifesto,' our process
continues developing through a previously imagined and now lived
apocalypse, offering visions of a world built from the detritus of our
current one.
emerging out of pandemic survival practices, this
emerging solo process is a vessel holding and confronting fossils, the
climate catastrophe, rising sea levels, Brooklyn skies + sidewalks, my
parents studying the fossils of societies, and the possibility of salvage
communism as our salvor. Get a free drink token to use at our bar with
