Seeing a Show

Welcome! We at FRIGID New York are so excited for you to come see a show–or to see a show from home! We are pleased to bring you live streams of most of our shows so you can keep up with our work from anywhere in the world.

FRIGID New York operates UNDER St Marks Theater at 94 St Marks Place in the East Village. We generally open the doors for seating around fifteen minutes before the show starts and seating is general admission. Most shows do allow late seating, but it is not guaranteed so please arrive before the performance is scheduled to start. A sold-out show may not be able to hold your ticket past the schedule start time either if there is a waitlist at the door.

There is a bar in the venue that sells beer, cider, wine, spiked seltzer, sodas, and water and is open for most shows starting later than 5:00pm. We have two gender-neutral restrooms available to the audience and performers. Unfortunately, our space is not wheelchair accessible and is entered via stairs. However, we are now working to find a new home that’s fully accessible and can better accommodate the needs of our staff, artists, and audiences. 

Getting Here

UNDER St Marks is located at 94 St Marks Place under Fun City Tattoo on the south side of the street.

Our closest trains stations are…

• The First Avenue L stop at E 14th St & 1st Ave
• The Second Ave F stop at E 1st & 2nd Ave
• The Astor Place 4 & 6 stop at E 8th St & 4th Ave
• The 8th Street N, Q, R, & W at E 8th & Broadway

Our venue does not have designated parking.

COVID Policies

As of February 1st, 2023, we are dropping our requirement for proof of vaccination. Most of our performances will not require masking, though we still strongly encourage it. Some of our shows, based on various factors, including community spread, special accommodation nights, staffing situations, and other factors that might not seem relevant to you but are for us, will still require masking. We will continue to provide masks to audience members who need them.
