‘Conversations’ is comprised of two monologues and tackles heavy themes like suicide, self harm, and addiction. Yet, it somehow manages to also shout for joy and love and a luster for life. It is woven into a monologue that explores sexuality, questioning heteronormativity, and one’s own repressed desires. Overall, it’s an intimate look into a woman’s life as she attempts to “show us the person [she] is in her journal.”
