Written by Brian Dykstra, Directed by Margarett Perry A presentation of Brian Dykstra’s Education, an edgy, thought-provoking, new full-length play about two young people who fight for their right to express themselves in a society hostile to any change in the status quo.



Brian Dykstra is an actor, playwright and HBO Def Poet. Most recently he played LBJ in All The Way at Repertory Theatre of Saint Louis, is just back from a workshop of a hip hop play of his at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles called Used To Was (Maybe Did) directed by Margarett Perry, and is writing a new play about racism in corporate America called “Well, If You Don’t Know…". All the while he is making a musical adaptation of The Learned Ladies with composer Ray Leslee.v








Margarett Perry is an award-winning director of new plays. She has directed and developed new work Off-Broadway and in regional theaters across the country as well as in Los Angeles, Scotland and London.  She is the Resident Director at the Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca where she has directed over 20 productions. She is also a regular at the Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, Ohio and an Artistic Fellow at The Lark Play Development Center where she has worked with numerous writers developing new work.  She is currently in development with Center Theatre Group on "Used to Was (Maybe Did)" by Brian Dykstra. Other upcoming projects include "Grand Concourse" by Heidi Schreck and "One Slight Hitch" by Lewis Black.
