**All attending in person MUST be fully vaccinated, meaning 14 days have elapsed since their final dose. We will be checking for proof of vaccination at the door, among our many other precautions. Unvaccinated viewers can join from home via livestream.**
Animal Engine Theatre Company presents a world-premiere play that mashes up short fiction and serialized novels of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather into one epic story. The year is 1901. When a tomboy growing up in a small Midwestern town is befriended by a glamorous opera singer with tales of art and culture in the big city, her restless passion is given purpose and the direction of her life is forever changed. Performed by just three actors in Animal Engine’s signature physical style: using only their bodies, a few simple props, and song. Created and performed by Carrie Brown, Katie Hartman, and Karim Muasher. Directed by Melinda Jean Ferraraccio. This play was originally developed with support from the Willa Cather Foundation.
All audience members attending in person must be masked and fully vaccinated (14 days elapsed since their final dose by April 2). FRIGID will be taking temperatures at the door, collecting contact tracing information, and selling tickets in pods distanced six feet or more from each other. The Kraine Theater is equipped with a ventilation system capable of replacing the air every ten minutes. Anyone who prefers not to attend in person can tune in to the livestream of the performance from their homes.
Staff will be vaccinated and masked as well. Carrie Brown, Katie Hartman, and Karim Muasher are the sole performers . They are fully vaccinated, and will wear masks whenever offstage. They will be more than 10 feet from any audience member and under ventilation when onstage. Click here to read our Reopening Letter.
