We’re BACK BAAAABAAAY!
And the good news? We’re better than ever.
Because there’s a lot of content out there right now, but can anyone else give you a ZERO AWKWARD MOMENTS GUARANTEE? Can they PROMISE that everyone will have GENUINE FUN? DO THEY MAKE THEIR GUESTS LOOK AT INKBLOTS THAT REVEAL THEIR INNER PSYCHES? The internet may lag but our jokes (and blots) will not.
We’re teaming up with Ceci n'est pas un Fringe ::: This Is Not a Fringe Festival and Queerly Festival with Frigid New York to present our quality content***, but we’ll be leaning more into our storytelling and ALWAYS witty banter more than improv (because online improv leads Kate to pretending she is trapped in a box and we can’t have that).
***Now even MORE queer!
So saddle up and trot on over to hear stories from your favourite fems about their experiences with identity, feminism, and what makes them THEM. And then get off the horse, set it free, and get ready to donate, with all proceeds given to Black Lives Matter and the Trevor Project, who are focusing on helping black queer youth right now. ADDED BONUS OF DONATING: You will unlock one ultra, never-before-heard secret from one of the guests, and an INFEMOUS Anthology shipped right to your door.
Eman El Husseini
All donations will be split between The Trevor Project (currently helping queer black youth) and Black Lives Matter
For every 25 dollars donated, you will be privy to ONE NEVER BEFORE HEARD SECRET from one of our comedians, and an INFEMOUS Anthology shipped right to your door!**
**In the PayPal donation note box, add your address for shipping, or send Kate a DM.
Link to be posted soon, but follow Fringe Montreal on Youtube to make sure you don't miss it!
We’re here to do what we’ve always done: make room for the stories that need to be heard. Thank you to Montreal Fringe and Queerly for their support in making this show happen.
Also, follow Jess and Eman through The El-Salomons! And Sara through Colour Outside the Lines Montreal
Even though we are streaming from many locations - we want to acknowledge that INFEMOUS habitually takes place on the unceded territory of Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. We have to learn from the terrible treatment forced upon Indigenous people in the past and take action to create a better future.
We encourage you to donate your time and money to The Friendship Centre, Native Women’s Shelter in Montreal, or an organization or protests near you.
Also, email and phone your local representatives and really tell them how you feel about the unfair treatment of Indigenous people by police, government, and society, and how there should be more support and land given back. You can start with the contacts here: https://www.ourcommons.ca/en/
