Miss AuroraBoobRealis a.k.a. DawN Crandell lights up the night stage with her unique mixture of raw and earthy, wild and fearless burlesque! She is an interdisciplinary performing artist creating in the intersections of burlesque, dance, theater and poetry. Central to her existence in this world is the fact that as a person she cannot and will not separate herself from her art, her race and her political beliefs. She is the co-founder of Brown Girls Burlesque, and most recently the brand new super troupe brASS: Brown RadicalAss Burlesque. She has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College with a focus in performing arts, and an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College with a focus on 20th Century Black Radical Artists and the intersections of dance, poetry and theater.



exHOTic other a.k.a. Una Aya Osato was born and raised in NYC, where she works as a performer, writer, and educator. She tells stories with her whole body in meaningful and colorful ways, making the movement irresistible. Since graduating Wesleyan University, she has written and performs critically acclaimed and award winning shows that she tours with her sister (sister selva aka Michi Ilona Osato) nationally and internationally at theaters, festivals, classrooms, community organizations, universities, and prisons. Michi Ilona Osato a.k.a. sister selva was born and raised in NYC and spends her time performing, teaching and planting. A graduate of Oberlin College with a focus on U.S. Race History and dance forms of the African diaspora, she currently uses burlesque to explore the intersections between sensuality, nature, gender, race and politics. She is an aspiring acupuncturist and Asst. Director of Mariposa & the Saint, a play about solitary confinement. Co-founder and lead choreographer of brASS Burlesque, sister selva can be found in the woods and weeds, as well as at



brASS: Brown RadicalAss Burlesque is a multi disciplinary performance troupe from NYC that uses their unique perspectives as women of color as a lens to the myriad of issues they are faced with in society. Through celebrations of their politicized bodies, they are making politics sexy and empowering audiences to value their own stories and use their creativity towards collective action. They encourage a disruption of passive consumption of art and wish to focus their performance as an instrument to re-imagine our society.
