The Field: A Musical Myth Presented by Muddy River Productions – New York, NY Words, Story & Music by Jeremy Cone, Directed by Jeremy Cone A modern musical myth about growing life. Man In The Field goes forth to grow. Harvest Woman appears in visions. The Thief steals and must be stopped. People Of The Field work and The Field Grows. All told through a unique blend of poetry, music, singing, and storytelling.

JEREMY CONE (Man In The Field/ Writer) is a storyteller of many mediums. He mixes words, music, stories, and photography to create a unique theatrical experience. He began performing and developing “The Field” as spoken word poetry at Los Angeles open mics. In 2013, he produced and performed live musical presentations of The Field in LA and New York. In 2014, he received an Anna Sosenko grant for a 2014 miniFridge Festival production of “The Field.” He lives in New York and continues to grow The Field every day.


JULIE CONGRESS (Storyteller) is an actor, vocal coach and Co-Artistic Director of No.11 Productions. Past FRIGID New York shows: The Eyes of Orbach, Quest for the West: Adventures on the Oregon Trail!, Coosje, Medea and Jet of Blood. Julie holds a BS in theatre from Skidmore College, studied at the Moscow Art Theatre, is Co-Director of the New York Thespian Society and leads vocal warm-ups at Stella Adler Studio of Acting.


LUCIAN SMITH (Music Director/Arranger), is originally from Columbus, OH currently based in NYC. He Holds a BFA in Acting/Music Theatre from WSU. He has recently been seen as Eduardo in No Late Seating, fronting for the band FULL WyNDSOR and as Damien Slade in the upcoming film The Method. Lucian joined the creative team for The Field in November, 2013 and is very excited to share it with you today!


MATT MAGRATH (People Of The Field) is excited to be a part of The Field! He was recently seen as Rolf in The Sound of Music (New Bedford Festival Theatre). Other credits include Green Carnation Singer/Bosie in The Trial of Oscar Wilde (Symphony Space) and Thalia/Muse in Xanadu (Cape Rep. Theatre). ROSIE SOWA (Harvest Woman) is a New York based actor and singer and is excited to be a part of this journey with such a talented group of artists.  New York credits include:  Medea

(Noel MacDuffie, dir.), Pericles (New Ensemble Workshop), Whale Song (Dreamscape Theatre Company), Deployed (reading, by Natalie Lovejoy).  Regional: All My Sons, Last Five Years, Deep Belly Beautiful, Miracle on 34th Street.  Love to her family, friends, and Greg.


Jasmine Renee Thomas (Mother Goddess) Houston- native, received her B.A. in Theatre from the Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Upon graduation, Jasmine began her career with Houston’s Ensemble Theatre under the direction of Patdro Harris and Carlton Leake. While pursuing professional and community performance endeavors, Jasmine taught through Teach for America. Fresh to NYC, previous credits include the Afrikan Women’s Repertory Theatre and Ruckus Rockwell.
