Rob Lloyd is an Australian actor, comedian and improviser.

 

Rob began his comedy career as a member of the cult musical-comedy trio The Dodge who toured extensively across Australia and released the CD Trademark Pending.

 

Rob founded Melbourne-based improvisational puppet comedy troupe The Mighty Little Puppet Show, he is currently the Artistic Director.

 

Rob has trained and performed with world-renowned improvisational groups, The Loose Moose Theatre Company and The Second City in Chicago.

 

Rob has had a sell-out Melbourne Fringe season of his first solo show A Study in Scarlet (A Study of…), which he followed up with Who, Me which again had sell-out seasons at festivals right across Australia, New Zealand, Edinburgh and Chicago.

 

With The Royal Institute of Australia, Rob hosted the science/comedy shows Mind Matters and The Science of Doctor Who (which was co-produced by BBC Worldwide).

 

Also with the BBC Rob was host of The Ultimate Fan Experience as a part of The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular Australia/New Zealand tour and hosted the Dropbox Stage for The Doctor Who Festival (Sydney) both in 2015.

 

On television Rob appeared as an ensemble member of Thank God You’re Here (Season One) he was host of RMITV's talk show Live On Bowen (Series 1 & 2) and he currently plays the title role in the education/adventure series Bertram Poppingstock: Problem Solver (Series 1 & 2) for ABC ME.

 

American Doctor Who fans might recognise Rob from the BBC America documentary Doctor Who: Earth Conquest, which is one a special features on the DVD/Blu-Ray box-set of Doctor Who: Series 8.

 

Currently Rob is on a four-month tour with Who, Me. to the US, Canada and the UK. During this tour he will be performing at the first ever Tampa International Fringe Festival, the Orlando Fringe Festival, the Ottawa Fringe, the Toronto Fringe and finally he will be returning the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  

 

Rob is extremely excited to be performing in New York City for the very first time.
