Saturday's Children
First Flight Theatre Company presents a staged reading of Maxwell Anderson’s comedy SATURDAY'S CHILDREN as a benefit for the theatre company. Anderson's comedy had its Broadway debut at the Booth Theatre in New York City on January 26, 1927 and had a healthy run of 310 performances. It featured actors Ruth Gordon, Beulah Bondi and Humphrey Bogart. With beautifully written dialogue and complex characters, Saturday’s Children set in 1927 Manhattan explores themes of love, ambition, and societal pressure not unlike what a young couple would encounter today in 2023. Directed by Frank Farrell the cast includes Joseph Bowen*, Danny Crawford*, Claudia Egli*, Frank Farrell*, Denise Alessandria Hurd*, Haley Karlich and Paul Singleton*.
