Michael Joel is a writer, director and actor based in New York and New Jersey. In 2015 he co founded of No Dominion Theatre Company and with them has produced written and directed One. Four. (Zero). at the Historic Solitude House in High Bridge, NJ and most recently served as a producer and actor for Departure. Other writer/director credits include A River at Manhattan Repertory Theatre and Youth+Blood+Roses for the Venus Theatre Festival at The Robert Moss Theatre in New York. He also directed Peter Pan is Dead for the Thespis Festival at the Cabrini Repertory Theatre, and assistant directed Basic Help with Strangedog Theatre Company for the 2014 FRIGID Festival in New York. Other directing credits include, Our Town, Peter/Wendy (assistant director/actor), The Triple Happiness (actor/director), The Glass Menagerie, Savage/Love (director/divisor), and Marat/Sade (director). Michael has been a member of the how to write a letter residency at the Ko Festival of Performance in Amherst, MA and has presented a piece for the devised theatre competition at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Kaitlin Overton is an actor, director, and producer based in the greater New York City area. She is a co-founder of the new theatre company No Dominion Theatre Co. with Michael Joel. Kaitlin was most recently seen in No Dominion’s Departure, an original devised theatre piece based on various found texts that took place at Solitude House, a historic site in High Bridge, New Jersey. Other theatre credits include Richard Schechner’s Imagining O (World Premiere, Peak Performances, Montclair, NJ); Michael Joel’s A River (Manhattan Repertory Theatre) and Youth + Blood + Roses (Robert Moss Theatre); Recommended Servings (The Earth Works Project, Blairstown, NJ); You Me Bum Bum Train (dir. Kate Bond, London, UK); Uncivil Wars (dir. David Gordon, Peak Performances); and Revolutionary Readings (NJ/NY Tour/TEDx Youth Event, Princeton, NJ). Kaitlin has also interned with the critically acclaimed New York Neo-Futurists (Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, The Kraine Theater, New York, NY).
