Dean feels like he’s won the lottery when his multimillionaire Uncle George offers him a job, but when the Department of Justice sues him for $19 million, Dean’s uncle disappears. Enter Zachary, a former Balanchine dancer and choreographer of the Metropolitan Opera, who takes Dean in and teaches him how to survive through stories of a career interrupted by World War II.
“Voice of Authority” is a true story brought to life with a healthy dose of humor and a little slide guitar. Dean Temple takes us on a fantastical journey through finance and farce, ballet and boardrooms, with a few musical stops along the way.
"Entertaining and thought provoking - a hidden gem!"
UK Fringe Review
"Captivating, compelling, and with a healthy does of humor."
PGH In the Round
"Temple's performance perfectly conveys the struggle to overcome the voice in your head that tells you, 'You can't.'"
"A thoroughly engaging jigsaw puzzle of mentorship, loss, and redemption cleverly brought to life with music, humor, and a fair dose of self-deprecation as only Dean can do."
Peter Michael Marino, Show Up, Kids!
