“One-Woman Wonder” Priyanka Shetty’s THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM is a witty, dark comedy about just your typical Indian metalhead and software-engineer-turned-actor who must navigate life as an immigrant arriving in Trump’s America. Gear up for a funny, tumultuous ride through immiscible cultures, unforgettable love, irreparable loss, and the desperation of not belonging anywhere.

“Humor pervades the show, and Shetty deftly interweaves Elephant’s comedic strain with its moments of loss, struggle, questioning, and resistance.” Thinking Theatre NYC

“…lively and engaging …, be prepared for the driving force of Ms Shetty’s electrifyingly physical performance.” Get Your Coats On, Edinburgh Fringe

“Shetty’s vigorous physical style, expressive face, and radioactive eyes draw the audience into the action ..” Get your Coats On, Edinburgh Fringe

…everything from hard metal festivals to choosing to pursue acting as a career to having an Indian auntie’s commentary on, well, everything. Watching TEITR was a vivid and joyful experience…” Theater Buddies, NYC
